Our Nation's Capital area was selected by George Washington since it was only 15 miles from his home in Mt. Vernon, Virginia - just "up the Potomac" River. George never got to live in the White House, but he did have a small plantation-home. Well, not that small. In fact, Washington DC was originally made up of parts of Maryland and Virginia - 10 square miles, to be exact. Visiting this area is one of the highlights of anyone's touring life-time.
Perhaps, Virginia is the loveliest of all of our states ? Maryland is much more traditional and now a lot more suburban - then there is Annapolis, and the Eastern Shore on the Atlantic Ocean, and the Mountains out in the Shenandoah River Valley - but, then, Virginia is out there, too, and it is also on the Atlantic Ocean. OK, both states have a lot to see - and each one is VERY special. We offer you many and varied tours of our DC Capital Region - plus the gorgeous, bucolic Shenandoah Valley - then - Williamsburg, Ocean City, Newport News, Norfolk and its current nautical history, Charlottesville and Richmond share a rich colonial and mid-1800s history. Baltimore, too, has its own charm and marble steps. The only way to describe the beauty and history, is for you and your friends to join us as we explore this rich area - rich in history and rich in wonderful pepple. Come on, -= choose any ONE 3-6 day tour to begin exploring this historic region.
